Dubai Weddings Initiative Supports 1,411 Emirati Families and 418 Newborns

DUBAI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News / WAM - 24th Aug, 2026) The ‘Dubai Weddings’ initiative, launched in early 2024, continues to flourish as a sustainable community model, facilitating wedding celebrations for Emirati citizens and fostering stability among Emirati families.
Since its inception, the initiative has evolved from a service facilitating weddings into a comprehensive, integrated program delivered through partner entities across Dubai. Its success is directly attributed to the guidance and constant follow-up of H.H. Sheikha Hind bint Maktoum bin Juma Al Maktoum, wife of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai.
The Sheikha Hind bint Maktoum Family Programme serves as the overarching framework, interconnecting wedding support with pre-marital awareness and training, financial and housing assistance, and ongoing family counseling schemes.
This initiative translates the strategic vision of making Dubai a family-friendly city, aligning with the objectives of the Dubai Social Agenda 33 and the Community Development Authority (CDA) in Dubai to support family formation, stability, and resilience.
By easing financial burdens on young Emiratis preparing for marriage, promoting balanced wedding practices, and encouraging marriage at a suitable age, the program contributes to social cohesion and optimal population growth in the emirate.
Hessa bint Essa Buhumaid, Director-General of the Community Development Authority, highlighted the pivotal role of H.H. Sheikha Hind's generous support and guidance in transforming the initiative into a sustainable, comprehensive service focused on Emirati families.
"The success of ‘Dubai Weddings’ reflects the guidance of H.H. Sheikha Hind bint Maktoum and her unwavering commitment to fostering a supportive environment for young Emiratis to build stable and cohesive families," she said.
"The initiative has transcended facilitating wedding celebrations to become an integrated model, bringing together institutions and entities across Dubai to offer social and educational support pre- and post-marriage, contributing to the long-term stability and well-being of Emirati families and advancing the objectives of the Dubai Social Agenda 33."
As of August 2026, the CDA reported that the initiative's support and training programs have seen remarkable engagement and outcomes, with a beneficiary satisfaction rate of 99.3%. The program has aided the formation of 1,411 new Emirati families and 418 newborns.
