A spokesman for the Health Department stated that this development is part of the Punjab government's health sector initiatives. A request for approval of 191 posts under the New Expenditure (SNE) schedule has been submitted to the Secretary Health and Population Department, Lahore, for the effective operationalization of the trauma centre.

Dr Shahzad Mahmood, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) DHA, visited the newly completed facility and inspected its various sections. He reviewed the available facilities and infrastructure in preparation for the launch of healthcare services.

Dr Shahzad Mahmood emphasized that the completion of this trauma centre will considerably strengthen THQ Hospital Dijkot's capacity to provide modern medical and emergency treatment facilities closer to patients' homes, reducing the need for travel to urban centres.

He attributed the successful completion of the project to the dedicated efforts of Divisional Commissioner Faisalabad, Dr Imran Hamid Sheikh, and Deputy Commissioner (DC) Muhammad Nauman Siddiq.

Following approval and deployment of required staff, the trauma centre is expected to commence modern and quality treatment services for patients soon.
