GUJRAT, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 20th Aug, 2026) As much as 166 millimetres of rain was recorded in the last four hours, causing water accumulation on several roads and in low-lying areas.

According to an official source, teams of the Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) and Suthra Punjab were mobilized to carry out dewatering and cleaning operations across the city. All disposal stations were operating at full capacity, while backup generators had been arranged to ensure uninterrupted drainage in case of power outages.

The district administration advised citizens to remain cautious near electrical installations during rainfall and avoid unnecessary travel. Citizens were also urged to take precautionary measures and contact the relevant departments in case of an emergency.
