18kg Hashish Seized , One Outlaw Held
Multan, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - September 06, 2026) – The Narcotics Control Station (NCS) Multan seized 18 kilograms of hashish from a vehicle during a crackdown at Shershah Toll Plaza on Sunday.
Acting on the directions of NCS Multan Director Colonel (Retd) Waqar Azam, a strike team led by Inspector Nusrat Ali intercepted the vehicle and recovered the narcotics. The accused, identified as Muhammad Tariq son of Muhammad Hussain, was arrested on the spot. The vehicle and the seized drugs were taken into custody, and a case has been registered against him under the Control of Narcotic Substances Act.
Further investigation is underway.
Talking to media, Director NCS Multan Colonel (Retd) Waqar Azam said the campaign against the drug trade would continue with full force. He stated that the anti-narcotics drive would be further intensified under a zero-tolerance policy to protect the youth from the devastating effects of drug abuse and to rid society of this menace.
