19 PSDP Projects Worth Rs181.37bn Under Implementation, National Assembly Told

Minister Tariq Fazal Chaudhry said 13 projects were functional while work continued on six others, and acknowledged past delays in the Sukkur-Karachi Motorway project during question hour.
ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th Oct, 2026) Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Dr Tariq Fazal Chaudhry revealed that 19 Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) projects, totaling Rs181.37 billion, are currently under implementation by the Ministry of Planning, Development and Special Initiatives.
Project Details:
- 11 in the social sector
- 3 in governance
- 1 in mass media
- 1 in economic development
- 1 in information technology
- 2 in infrastructure
Chaudhry rejected the notion that all projects faced delays, attributing them to specific reasons related to individual projects. He assured that the government prioritized important road projects and ensured aid reached disaster-affected areas.
Regarding the Sukkur-Karachi Motorway, he acknowledged past delays, adding that the project involved both the Ministry of Planning and the Ministry of Communications. He assured that work was progressing and the project remained a top priority.
