296 Suspects Arrested, Weapons Recovered – UrduPoint

Police Operations:
- Weapons and Illegal Activities: 296 suspects were arrested during police operations targeting illegal activities in Lahore over the past 24 hours. Among them, 15 were caught for possessing illegal weapons, with 14 cases registered against them. Police seized 11 pistols, two guns, and dozens of bullets.
- Drug Crackdown: 37 suspects were arrested for drug peddling, leading to the recovery of 11.749 kg of charas, 3.930 kg of crystal methamphetamine (ice), and 184 litres of liquor.
- Violating Laws: 22 people were arrested for violating the Kite-Flying Act, while 191 proclaimed offenders and absconders were apprehended.
- Theft and Robbery: Four suspects involved in theft and robbery incidents were captured, with stolen property valued at Rs 223,000 recovered.
- Road Safety: 25 youths were arrested for performing one-wheeling on roads and thoroughfares.

DIG Kamran emphasized the use of all available resources to safeguard citizens’ lives and property. He directed police personnel to continue operations against criminals and those engaged in illegal activities.
