Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Minister Shafi Jan has stated that 3,000 containers have been placed in Islamabad starting today, severely impacting public life, and called for the Islamabad High Court to take notice.

Speaking on a Dunya news program, he announced that a protest led by Sohail Afridi will be held on September 27, despite potential arrests and disqualifications.

"We will hold a peaceful protest," he said. "A protest takes place when there is no one to listen."

Jan criticized the Islamabad High Court for issuing decisions regarding Imran Khan's health and meetings with him, but not implementing them. He asked, "You say that citizens’ lives should not be made difficult, but 3,000 containers have already been placed in Islamabad from today."

He added, "The court should decide how Islamabad could be shut down. We know they will beat us, arrest us and disqualify us, but we ask the Islamabad High Court why none of your decisions regarding Imran Khan has been implemented."

Meanwhile, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government issued instructions to its officers in light of the Islamabad High Court's orders, restricting their use in connection with the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf march towards Islamabad.

The instructions directed all relevant officials to ensure full compliance with the court orders, and stated that:

  • No government officer would assist or facilitate any march, rally or procession towards Islamabad.
  • No march or rally would be permitted if it disrupted free movement in Islamabad, commercial activities, educational institutions, or access to medical facilities.
  • Government vehicles, machinery, equipment, public funds or other resources could not be used for any march or rally.
  • Disciplinary action would be taken against any government officer who violated the court orders.
