35 Young People Receive Training in Social Action and Volunteerism at Bara Gali

NATHIAGALI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 6th Sep, 2026) A three-day training programme on social action and volunteerism concluded at the Bara Gali Summer Campus of the University of Peshawar, with 35 young people participating.

The programme was jointly organized by the Directorate of Youth Affairs Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the University of Peshawar from September 4 to 6 to equip young people with practical skills in social service, volunteer activities, community engagement, and responsible citizenship.

Through interactive sessions, group activities, consultations, and practical exercises, participants explored:

  • Identifying community needs
  • Developing approaches to address these issues through volunteerism and community-based initiatives
  • Building self-confidence, a sense of responsibility, and a commitment to contributing to societal good

The central theme of the programme was "Empowering Youth, Strengthening Communities and Creating Positive Change." According to the Directorate of Youth Affairs, this initiative aligned with their efforts to promote youth development, volunteerism, social responsibility, and effective community participation across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
