38-km Karak-CPEC Link Road Enters Implementation Phase: Khursheed Khattak

KARAK, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - September 04, 2026) The 38-kilometre Ali Khel Chowk-to-CPEC Link Road project has entered the implementation phase, with its field survey currently under way and the tendering process expected to commence soon, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Special Assistant for Livestock and Fisheries Khursheed Khattak said on Friday.

Talking to the media here, Khattak said the survey team had reached the project site and was conducting the required fieldwork. The tendering process would be initiated after completion of the survey, he added.

He stated that the road would significantly improve connectivity between Karak and the CPEC route, easing transportation difficulties and facilitating trade and economic activity in the district.

The Special Assistant noted that the project would provide Karak with better access to economic opportunities linked to the CPEC corridor and help create new avenues for trade and investment. He emphasized that commencement of fieldwork was a practical step towards implementation, with visible construction activity expected after completion of procedural stages.
