3rd Polio Campaign Continues in ICT as Teams Conduct Door-to-door Vaccination on Day 3 - UrduPoint
ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Sep, 2026) The third anti-polio campaign of the year remained underway across Islamabad on Wednesday as vaccination teams continued door-to-door visits in different areas of the city. Polio workers remained engaged in administering vaccine drops to eligible children as part of the ongoing drive to protect them from the disease.
In This Regard:
- Additional Deputy Commissioner Headquarters Uzair Ali Khan carried out a field visit to monitor campaign activities and assess progress on the ground.
- During the visit, he met polio workers individually and sought details about challenges they faced while carrying out vaccination duties in different localities.
The ADC Headquarters Also:
- Reviewed the campaign’s statistics and operational data.
- Evaluated the performance of vaccination teams.
- Ensured that targets were being pursued effectively.
He received updates regarding field activities and the overall implementation of the campaign. While interacting with polio workers, Uzair Ali Khan:
- Instructed them to maintain a courteous and respectful attitude while dealing with residents during house-to-house visits.
- Stressed the importance of positive engagement with families to ensure smooth implementation of the vaccination drive.
According to the Additional Deputy Commissioner:
- Polio workers are using their experience, field knowledge, and communication skills to address refusal cases on the spot.
- Teams are making efforts to engage with parents and guardians, answer their concerns, and encourage them to vaccinate their children.
Uzair Ali Khan also appealed to citizens to cooperate with polio workers and support the ongoing campaign. He urged parents to ensure that children receive polio vaccine drops so that vaccination targets can be achieved and the campaign can continue without interruption across the Federal capital.
