43 Professional Beggars Arrested As ICT Admin Intensifies Anti-begging Drive
ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - August 25, 2026) : The Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) administration has intensified its campaign against professional begging across the federal capital, carrying out operations in various sectors of the city.
During recent actions:
- The Assistant Commissioner (City) arrested 28 professional beggars found involved in begging activities at different locations.
- In a separate operation, the Assistant Commissioner (Shalimar) detained 15 professional beggars.
All 43 individuals were taken into custody and transferred to police lockups for further legal proceedings.
According to officials, the drive aims to address:
