5,000 Sports Tracksuits Distributed Among Students

(8 September, 2026 | 09:40 PM) ISLAMABAD (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News) — The Inter-Provincial Coordination (IPC) Department has distributed 5,000 sports tracksuits among students of H-8 College as part of its ongoing efforts to promote sports, physical fitness and healthy lifestyles in government educational institutions.
Secretary IPC Mohyuddin Ahmad Wani and Parliamentary Secretary for Culture and Heritage Farah Naz attended the distribution ceremony along with education officials, teachers, and students.
Speaking on the occasion, Secretary Wani emphasized that:
“Sports should not be treated merely as an extracurricular activity but as an integral part of education and character building. A healthy body leads to a healthy mind. Our goal is to establish a sports culture in government schools where every child gets the opportunity to play, compete, and excel.”
This distribution initiative is part of a broader program to expand sports participation within institutions under the Federal Directorate of Education. Earlier, 20,000 tracksuits had been distributed, bringing the total number provided so far to 25,000.
The Ministry reiterated its commitment to expanding sports opportunities in government educational institutions and continuing initiatives aimed at supporting the physical and overall development of students.
