The Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) arrested two absconders allegedly involved in fraudulent activities, an official stated. This action was taken based on the direction of Punjab Director General Anti-Corruption Sohail Zafar Chattha.
Lodhran Circle Officer Ali Hassan Gilani apprehended accused Khalid Pervaiz, wanted in case No 12/25 registered by the Anti-Corruption Establishment. He is suspected of preparing a fake death certificate with a Union Council official to obtain one for his sister, Shabana Kausar. The UC record was allegedly tampered with to achieve this nefarious objective.
In another development, Assistant Director Investigation Zahir Ahmad detained former record keeper of the local registry branch, Umer Draz, booked in case No 12/25. He is accused of tampering with registry records and entering false mutations based on them.
