AC Astore holds meeting with Revenue Field Staff
A meeting of the Revenue Field Staff was held under the chairmanship of Assistant Commissioner Astore Muhammad Shoaib here on Monday to review revenue-related matters across the district, including pending public cases, compensation claims, illegal encroachments on government land, and market affairs.
During the meeting:
- Progress on various revenue matters was reviewed in detail.
- Muhammad Shoaib directed the concerned officers and field staff to ensure transparency, merit, and the supremacy of law in resolving public issues and carrying out official responsibilities.
He specifically directed:
- Disposing off pending compensation cases involving the public on a priority basis.
- Processing all cases transparently after thorough scrutiny to provide timely relief to affected individuals.
- Taking strict action against illegal encroachments on government land, emphasizing the use of all legal measures for protection and removal.
The meeting also addressed:
- Market prices and quality of essential commodities, with a focus on official price lists.
- Regular market inspections and enforcing strict action against shopkeepers who violate price regulations or sell substandard goods.
Muhammad Shoaib emphasized the priorities of the district administration:
- Providing basic facilities to the public
- Timely resolution of grievances
- Transparency in official affairs
He stressed the importance of responsibility and sincerity from Revenue Field Staff in addressing public complaints and resolving issues. Negligence, lethargy, or dereliction of duty would not be tolerated, he made clear.
All Patwaris and Revenue Field Staff were directed to ensure their attendance during working hours to prevent public delays or difficulties. Regular monitoring of revenue-related matters and prioritizing issues of public interest were also emphasized.
