Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) Multan region claimed on Tuesday to have arrested a contractor red-handed while receiving an amount higher than the government-prescribed rate during a successful trap raid.
Circle Officer Headquarters ACE Multan Mukhtar Hussain and his team carried out the raid under the supervision of a judicial magistrate. During the operation, Muhammad Asif, a contractor associated with the Mines Department Multan, was caught receiving an amount in excess of the officially prescribed rate.
The currency recovered from the suspect was taken into custody in accordance with legal procedure. A case was registered against the accused while further investigations were launched.
