ADC Orders Dengue Surveillance and Larval Control
SIALKOT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th Aug, 2026) Additional Deputy Commissioner Municipal Services Mian Sarmad Hussain has emphasized the need for enhanced dengue prevention measures. He made this statement while chairing a meeting of the District Emergency Response Committee for Dengue Control at the DC Office Conference Room.
Sarmad Hussain directed that field activities aimed at eradicating dengue should be continuously carried out, with immediate responses to surveillance-identified positive locations and citizen awareness about preventing water accumulation in homes, roofs, pots, coolers, and other areas.
He highlighted that an effective anti-dengue strategy involves identifying mosquito breeding sites promptly, destroying larvae, and preventing disease spread. Therefore, all concerned institutions should diligently fulfill their responsibilities.
CEO Health Authority Dr. Muhammad Aslam Chaudhry provided a comprehensive update on ongoing anti-dengue activities in the district and the current dengue situation during the meeting.
