Administration, Religious Scholars Review Security Arrangements For Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH)

Rawalpindi Division witnessed a coordination meeting on Monday to review security arrangements and peace measures for the upcoming celebrations of Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH). The gathering was jointly organized by:

  • Chairman Mutahida Ulema Board
  • Member, Council of Islamic Ideology Punjab, Mufti Intikhab Ahmad Noori
  • Commissioner Rawalpindi Division, Salman Ghani
  • Regional Police Officer (RPO), Babar Sarfraz Alpa

Key officials from the administration and law enforcement, including Deputy Commissioners from other divisional districts, participated either in person or via video link.

Mufti Intikhab Ahmad Noori, emphasizing religious scholars' pivotal role, stated that preparations for Eid Milad-un-Nabi are being meticulously evaluated at divisional and district levels as per Punjab Chief Minister's directives. He encouraged fostering intellectual harmony among the youth through adherence to Seerat-un-Nabi (PBUH)'s teachings.

Salman Ghani praised religious scholars for their consistent support in maintaining interfaith peace during Muharram, assuring robust security measures throughout Eid Milad-un-Nabi celebrations. Babar Sarfraz Alpa outlined comprehensive security protocols designed in consultation with Ulema and local stakeholders.

Captain (Retd) Nadeem Nasir stressed that any form of religious hatred or sectarianism would be strictly prohibited, highlighting the operational role of district peace committees in upholding civic harmony. The meeting concluded with prayers led by Mufti Intikhab Ahmad Noori for national prosperity and state security.
