Advisor Meena Majeed Baloch Pays Tribute To Armed Forces On Defence Day
Provincial Advisor for sports and Youth Affairs, Meena Majeed Baloch, has said that September 6, 1965, remains an unforgettable day in Pakistan’s defense history, symbolizing the nation’s courage, faith, and resilience. In her special message on Defence and Martyrs Day, she recalled how the Pakistani Army not only defended the motherland but also sent a clear message to the world that Pakistan possesses the strength to defeat any aggression.
“The cowardly enemy attacked Lahore under the cover of darkness, but the brave sons of Pakistan repelled them with unmatched valor,” she stated. Meena Majeed Baloch emphasized that the sacrifices of the armed forces proved that wars are won not merely with weapons but with faith and determination. She noted that global history offers no parallel to the timeless tales of bravery written by Pakistan’s soldiers.
Paying glowing tributes to the martyrs, she said: "The nation salutes the heroes who laid down their lives for the defense of the homeland. Our martyrs are our pride, and today the entire nation stands in solidarity with their families." She urged citizens to renew their pledge of defending Pakistan at all costs, even with the ultimate sacrifice of life.
"On Defence Day, the entire nation offers heartfelt homage to the Pakistani Army. The victory in the battle of truth uplifted the nation’s morale, and we salute our forces," she added. Meena Majeed Baloch concluded that September 6 serves as a reminder of the spirit of sacrifice and patriotism of martyrs and veterans, inspiring future generations to uphold the mission of defending the homeland.
