Prime Minister’s National Message of Peace Committee Coordinator, Hafiz Muhammad Tahir Mahmood Ashrafi, has alleged that groups referred to as “Fitna al-Hindustan” and “Fitna al-Khawarij” are involved in recent acts of terrorism in Pakistan, operating from Afghanistan with alleged support from Afghan and Indian elements.
He expressed these views during a meeting with a delegation of Uzbek media representatives at a local hotel here on Sunday, along with other members of the National Peace Committee.
Tahir Mahmood Ashrafi stated that Fitna al-Khawarij is perpetrating terrorism against Pakistan from Afghanistan, for which evidence and proof are available. He noted that the terrorist responsible for a suicide blast at a mosque in Kohat the previous day was also Afghan.
He called for Afghanistan to take effective action against groups involved in terrorism against Pakistan.
Ashrafi emphasized Pakistan's clear position on Palestine and Saudi Arabia, stating the Pakistani people stand with both nations. He highlighted the importance of protecting and defending the Holy Mosques, aligning with Saudi Arabia's security and defense efforts for the Holy Land.
The coordinator outlined the establishment and objectives of the National Message of Peace Committee, explaining it was formed on September 9, 2025, to harness the broader vision of mobilizing Pakistan’s religious leadership as a powerful force for peace, tolerance, national unity, and stability. He noted that representatives from all religions and schools of thought are part of the committee, and its members have signed the Paigham-e-Pakistan document.
Other committee members welcomed the Uzbek media delegation, emphasizing Uzbekistan's brotherly status to Pakistan and the warm reception given to Uzbek people in their country.
