Ahsan Bhoon Has Lawyers’ Confidence, Captain Safdar Should Stay Out of Bar Affairs: Azam Nazeer Tarar
Federal Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar expressed that Ahsan Bhoon enjoys the confidence of the legal community, emphasizing that Captain Safdar, who is neither a lawyer nor a member of the bar, should steer clear of bar elections and affairs. He likened such actions to unnecessary criticism of elections and affairs outside one's field of expertise, citing the example of his own roles as an engineer and doctor, where he wouldn't comment on their respective elections.
Tarar made these remarks while speaking at an event today. He mentioned that while Captain Safdar is a respected individual, he should respect the bar's autonomy and stay away from their internal matters.
The minister also touched on the topic of emergency in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, stating that emergency can be imposed where the Constitution demands it, and he would follow the constitutional mechanism when necessary.
