AI Office Announces Free Subscription Plan For University Students In UAE To Access Google Gemini

DUBAI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News / WAM - 03rd Sep, 2026) The UAE Artificial Intelligence Office, in collaboration with Google Gemini, has launched one-year complimentary access to ‘Google AI Plus’, a plan offering university students access to Google Gemini and other AI-powered tools.
This initiative aligns with the UAE Government's efforts to empower students with modern digital skills and prepare them for the future demands of AI. It supports national capacity-building and enhances the readiness of young talents.
Omar Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, emphasised the proactive vision of UAE leadership, placing humanity at the centre of its journey towards the future. He noted that the upcoming phase requires a shift from merely using AI tools to understanding how to employ them responsibly in learning and research.
Al Olama stated that empowering students with latest AI models and tools fosters a culture of continuous learning, exploration, and innovation. It grants them the ability to innovate new solutions and play a crucial role in shaping an AI-driven future.
The "Google AI Plus" plan provides:
- Access to a suite of AI tools for study, research, and content creation.
- The Gemini app with its latest AI model.
- Tools to organise sources, summarise materials, and prepare research.
- AI-supported image and video generation tools.
- 400 GB of storage capacity.
