Azad Jammu and Kashmir Govt Pursuing Time-bound Development Plan: PM Gilani
MIRPUR (AJK), (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point news - 4th Oct, 2026) Azad Jammu and Kashmir Prime Minister (AJK PM) Syed Iftikhar Ali Gilani has stated that the PML-N government is committed to a comprehensive, time-bound development plan, prioritizing public needs, improved governance, better service delivery, and provision of basic amenities.
Addressing a public gathering hosted by the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) in Kotli, Mirpur Division on Sunday, he emphasized that projects under the government’s 100-day program would be executed in phases, focusing on timely completion, quality, and effective monitoring. He added that the government is committed to tangible results, eschewing "empty assurances."
The Prime Minister highlighted the government's efforts to create employment opportunities and accelerate development across the liberated territory. Regarding education, he stressed the need for teacher capacity building and skills development beyond mere institution upgrades. He announced utilizing all available resources to train teachers and strengthen the education system, while also expanding digital access through a portal providing information on government tenders, development projects, and other initiatives.
He acknowledged the need for a “healing touch” to address public grievances, with special attention to the issues of people living along the Line of Control.
Speakers at the gathering praised the PML-N leadership's focus on development, infrastructure, economic growth, and public facilities, assuring that the trust voters have placed in the party would be repaid through development and public welfare measures.
