Ambassador Khalil Hashmi Holds Farewell Meeting With China’s DG Asian Affairs
Pakistan’s Ambassador to China, Khalil Hashmi, held a farewell meeting and lunch with Ms. Shen Minjuan, Director General for Asian Affairs at China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, earlier this week in Beijing.
Ambassador Hashmi expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Ms. Shen for her valuable support and cooperation throughout his tenure in China. He also conveyed appreciation for the special honour of being conferred the Outstanding Diplomat Medal, describing it as a privilege and a memorable recognition.
During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on key milestones achieved during the ambassador’s tenure, ongoing projects, and future plans aimed at further strengthening bilateral relations. Ambassador Hashmi reaffirmed the enduring strength of the Pakistan-China relationship, describing the friendship between the two countries as “iron-clad” and expressing confidence that it would continue to deepen in the years ahead.
The farewell engagement underscored the close diplomatic ties and longstanding cooperation between Pakistan and China.
