ANF Seizes Over 20 Kg of Drugs in Six Operations, Arrests Five
The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) on Tuesday conducted six operations in different parts of the country and arrested five suspects, including an Afghan national, recovering 20.16 kg of drugs worth over Rs 4.6 million.
Operations Details:
- International Interdiction Operations:
- 2.83 kg and 2.42 kg of ice recovered from clothes concealed in the baggage of two passengers travelling to Jeddah from Islamabad Airport.
- Karachi Courier Office Operation:
- 400 grams of ice recovered from a laptop bag in a parcel destined for the United Kingdom.
- Inter-Provincial Operations:
- 6 kg of hashish concealed in five hot pots recovered from an Afghan national near Ravi Toll Plaza, Lahore.
- 5 kg of ice and 1.11 kg of weed recovered from a truck near Ghazi Ghat Toll Plaza, with one suspect arrested.
- 2.4 kg of hashish recovered from a suspect near Islamabad Toll Plaza.
Legal Actions:
Cases have been registered under the Control of Narcotic Substances Act (CNSA), 1997, and further investigation is underway.
