ANP Questions KP CM’s Absence Amid Worsening Provincial Challenges
ANP (Awami National Party) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) spokesperson Arsalan Khan Nazim has criticised the provincial government over Chief Minister’s (CM) absence from the province, stating that the administration should prioritise governance and public issues in the face of prevailing security challenges.
According to a statement issued on Thursday, the province is grappling with serious issues such as terrorism, sacrifices by police personnel, inflation, and insecurity, while the government appears more focused on political activities.
Nazim alleges that the CM spends considerable time in Islamabad and attends provincial meetings online, recently travelling to Sindh with cabinet members. He questions the prioritisation of political activities over administrative responsibilities, emphasising that running a provincial government requires the CM’s full-time presence and attention.
The spokesperson asserts that the people of KP look to the government for solutions to their problems, particularly the restoration of peace, protection of police personnel, and securing the province’s rights. He accuses government affairs of becoming secondary to political considerations and urges the provincial leadership to focus on governance and the welfare of the people.
