APHC Demands International Probe Into Cases Against Yasin Malik

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 4th Sep, 2026) The All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) has strongly condemned the Indian state and its judiciary for the manner in which they are proceeding against illegally jailed Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik, and has called for an international investigation into the cases registered against him.

According to Kashmir Media Service, APHC spokesman Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas stated in a Srinagar press release that Yasin Malik, incarcerated in Tihar Jail since 2019, faces fresh prosecution 36 years after the alleged incident, raising serious questions about the timing, credibility, and purpose of the prosecution.

He noted that Malik was arrested in 1990 and faced nearly two dozen cases, yet no murder charge was registered against him at the time. His recent indictment 36 years later calls into question the motivations behind the case.
