Asad Qaiser Opens New Sports Facilities at Bamkhel, Announces Swabi Premier League
PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - September 05, 2026) Former National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser on Saturday inaugurated several sports development projects at the Bamkhel Sports Complex, including a futsal court, cricket academy, basketball court, and floodlights.
Addressing players during his visit, Qaiser emphasized the importance of promoting sports and providing modern facilities to young people to channel their energies into healthy activities. He expressed his desire to serve the people of Swabi, who had always shown him support and respect, adding that peace, employment opportunities, and youth facilities remain his key priorities.
Qaiser additionally announced the launch of the Swabi Premier League and stated that other sports grounds across the district are being upgraded. He revealed that funds have been allocated for the construction, rehabilitation, and upgrade of sports facilities in Maneri Payan, Lahore, Zarobi, Pabaini, and Kadi, with work set to commence soon.
The former speaker highlighted the value of young people as a valuable asset and assured them of efforts to provide better opportunities in sports and other fields. Deputy Commissioner Swabi, Assistant Commissioner, District Sports Officer, Sports Coordinator Huzefa, and other officials attended the event.
