Asian National Arrested in Kuwait Security Guard Murder Case
Security forces have arrested an Asian national allegedly involved in the murder of a security guard.
KUWAIT CITY, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 31st Oct, 2026) Kuwaiti authorities have announced the arrest of an Asian national suspected of involvement in the murder of a security guard. According to Kuwaiti newspaper Al Anbaa, the Ministry of Interior said the General Department of Criminal Investigation, with the support of the Public Security Sector, arrested the suspect in connection with the killing at a construction site in Al-Mutlaa.
The Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior stated that security authorities received a report yesterday morning about the body of a security guard being found on the roof of a building under construction. The relevant units immediately arrived at the scene to inspect and collect evidence. Investigators identified a former security guard as a suspect; he had been dismissed from his job just one day before the incident.
It was learned that the suspect had turned himself in at the Sharq Police Station after an arrest warrant was issued because his visa had expired. He apparently intended to be deported before his involvement in the incident was discovered.
During questioning, the suspect confessed to the crime. He stated that he had been involved in a dispute with the victim and admitted attacking him with a piece of wood and a knife.
Further legal procedures are being finalized to refer the suspect to the relevant authorities.
