ATC Grants Bail To 96 Accused In Protest Case

ISLAMABAD, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 7th Sep, 2026) An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) Islamabad on Monday approved post-arrest bail for 96 people arrested in connection with a case registered after a protest related to Kashmir in Sector F-10.

The court ordered their release against surety bonds of Rs 5,000 each. The case was heard by ATC Judge Abual Hasnat Muhammad Zulqarnain.

Prosecutor Raja Naveed Hussain Kiyani appeared before the court, while the accused were represented by lawyers Sardar Masroof, Zahid Bashir Dar and Amina Ali.

During the hearing, Judge Zulqarnain referred to proceedings before the Islamabad High Court and remarked that he had been waiting for the parties. He also directed those involved in the case not to arrive late for court proceedings.

The court accepted the post-arrest bail applications of all 96 accused persons. Among those granted bail were Senator Mushtaq Ahmad Khan, Razi Tahir and several others named in the case.

The case was registered by Islamabad Police at Shalimar Police Station under provisions of anti-terrorism laws. The First Information Report relates to a protest held in Sector F-10 concerning Kashmir.

Following arguments from both sides, the court approved the bail petitions and ordered the release of the accused against the submission of surety bonds.
