Auqaf Dept Official Held for Bribery
UrduPoint (September 07, 2026) – Muzaffargarh: Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) arrested the caretaker of Khalifa Pir Jahaniyan Shrine for allegedly accepting a Rs10,000 bribe.
The operation was led by Deputy Director Anti-Corruption Ghulam Fareed Khan through a trap raid supervised by Magistrate Zubair-ul-Hassan. Auqaf department official Hafiz Muhammad Aslam was caught red-handed while receiving marked currency notes. He is accused of demanding and accepting the bribe in connection with leasing Auqaf land.
A case (FIR No. 62/26) has been registered against the accused at the Anti-Corruption Police Station. ACE stated that action against corruption and bribery would continue.
