BATTAGRAM, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News8th Sep, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Battagram Muhammad Shoaib has directed all concerned departments to intensify efforts to prevent and control dengue in the district, with a particular focus on surveillance in sensitive areas and elimination of potential mosquito breeding sites.

He issued these directives while chairing a meeting on dengue prevention and control, where officials reviewed the current dengue situation, ongoing preventive activities, and measures being taken across the district.

The district dengue focal person briefed the meeting on the latest situation, activities being carried out in different areas, and steps being taken to prevent mosquito breeding.

Muhammad Shoaib directed officials to accelerate anti-dengue operations and strengthen surveillance in areas considered vulnerable to the disease. He stressed that potential mosquito breeding sites should be identified promptly and immediate preventive measures taken.

He stated that coordinated efforts among all relevant departments were essential to prevent a possible spread of dengue. Furthermore, he called for greater public awareness about dengue prevention, cleanliness, and the importance of eliminating stagnant water and other conditions conducive to mosquito breeding.

Officials and representatives from various departments attended the meeting and proposed suggestions to further improve the district’s anti-dengue strategy.
