Condolence Session for Shakir Aziz Seetai
A condolence meeting was organized by Bazm-e-Rooh Rihan in memory of the renowned poet, Shakir Aziz Seetai, where a pledge was made to publish his books within 40 days.
Advocate Maria Bughio, daughter of the late poet, shared her father's encouragement for education and his desire to see his daughters progress.
Shah Nawaz Mehesar, a well-known writer, described Shakir Aziz as an ideal poet who had a deep love for language. Wahid Kandharo, Secretary General of Bazm-e-Rooh Rahan, highlighted Shakir Aziz's status as a poet of ghazal, whose work resonated with public sentiments.
Poet Jabar Taseer Soomro noted that Shakir Aziz's poetry will continue to live on, while Salim Chana, a storyteller, emphasized his writing on the struggles of the masses. Talib Bhanbaro, another writer, remembered Shakir Aziz as a talented teacher alongside his poetic prowess.
Muhammad Ali Chana expressed that figures like Shakir Aziz are essential for keeping literature alive. The session featured recitations by Aisha, daughter of Shakir Aziz, and a sentimental article read by Poet Waheed. Several other speakers, including Khair Muhammad Ashiq Solangi, Mola Bakhsh Mohabati, Professor Dr Ashraf Sami, Wafa Raza, Sikandar Ali Kosi, Nizamuddin Kaka, Imran Soomri, Juman Ansari, Rehmat Kanwal, Ahmad Alighiu, and the son of Shakir Aziz, shared their thoughts and tributes.
