Live e-Kachehri Session

On Wednesday, Senator Rubina Khalid conducted a live e-Kachehri on BISP's official Facebook account, addressing concerns and complaints from 25 callers across the country. She instructed officials to prioritize and promptly resolve all issues raised during the session and provide reports on the actions taken.

CNIC Renewal and Benazir SIMs

Senator Khalid reminded women whose CNICs have expired to renew them through NADRA to avoid any disruptions in receiving financial assistance. She highlighted the importance of having valid Computerized National Identity Cards.

Digital Wallet Initiative

BISP has introduced a Digital Wallet system, ensuring safe and transparent transfers of payments to women beneficiaries, as directed by President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif. Senator Khalid described it as a gift to BISP recipients.

Obtaining Benazir SIMs

Women are advised to collect their free Benazir SIMs from BISP offices, providing their original CNICs and personal mobile phones. She strictly prohibited obtaining SIMs from franchises, retailers, or unauthorized individuals and warned against activating them through such sources.

Interoperability System for Payments

The new Interoperability system will allow women beneficiaries to collect payments at any time, from any authorized retailer, across the country. Partner banks include HBL, Habib Microfinance, Bank Alfalah, Telenor Microfinance, Bank of Punjab, and Mobilink/Jazz Bank.

Biometric Verification and Payment Process

Beneficiaries must have their original CNICs and complete biometric verification to receive payments. When a payment is transferred to a Digital Wallet, a confirmation message is sent to the Benazir SIM. Women are advised to check this message and keep it safe as proof of payment. After withdrawal, a second confirmation message with details is sent.

Protecting Personal Information

Senator Rubina Khalid stressed the importance of safeguarding personal information and financial transactions, warning beneficiaries against sharing their mobile phones with retailers or agents.
