A man was shot dead allegedly by his former business partners after he started operating an independent cable network in the area of Batala Colony police station.

A police spokesman said that the incident occurred on Dawood Nagar-Malkhanwala Road where Abdul Rehman was allegedly targeted by his former partners over a business dispute.

The deceased had been working with the accused in the cable network business for the past eight years. However, around two months ago, he started his own independent cable network business.

Following his decision to operate separately, the accused allegedly attempted to prevent him from continuing his business and also threatened to kill him.

Despite threats, Abdul Rehman continued operating his cable network and the accused allegedly opened fire on him over this issue, resulting in his death.

Receiving information, SHO Batala Colony police station Zaheer Akhtar took prompt action and arrested the main accused, Amjad and Faizan. Further investigation was underway, the spokesman added.
