Calligraphy Exhibition Held at Parliament House to Mark Holy Prophet’s Birth Anniversary
ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th Aug, 2026) An exhibition featuring calligraphic artwork by renowned calligrapher Wasal Shahid was held at Parliament House to commemorate the 1501st birth anniversary of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
Speaker of the National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq inaugurated the exhibition. Wasal Shahid briefed the Speaker about the artworks displayed and explained their artistic and spiritual themes.
Speaking on the occasion, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq said the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was a source of mercy and guidance for humanity. He stated that events highlighting the Seerat-un-Nabi (PBUH) provided an opportunity for reflection and spiritual inspiration.
The Speaker noted that the exhibition, based on the Seerat-un-Nabi (PBUH), could aid in promoting awareness of the life and teachings of the Holy Prophet among the younger generation. He further emphasized that spiritual and intellectual activities contribute to fostering unity, brotherhood, and solidarity among Muslims.
Participants expressed appreciation for the exhibition and its focus on different aspects of the life and teachings of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). They also acknowledged the organizers’ efforts in arranging the event.
Ambassadors of Islamic countries, Federal Ministers Khawaja Muhammad Asif and Khalid Hussain Magsi, members of the National Assembly, and media representatives attended the inaugural ceremony. Representatives of various schools of thought and officers of the National Assembly Secretariat were also present.
