Punjab Council of the Arts, Rawalpindi Organizes Calligraphy Exhibition

RAWALPINDI (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Aug, 2026) The Punjab Council of the Arts, Rawalpindi, organized a calligraphy exhibition in connection with Eid Milad-un-Nabi (SAW) celebrations on the directions of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif.
Chairman Chief Minister’s Inspection Team (CMIT) Raja Muhammad Hanif was the chief guest. Addressing the gathering, he stated that the life and teachings of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW) offer timeless guidance for humanity, and Islamic calligraphy serves as a beautiful expression of faith, devotion, and the rich artistic heritage of the Muslim world. He appreciated the Council for hosting the exhibition and praised the artistic efforts displayed.
The exhibition showcased a collection of calligraphic artworks by senior artist Azeem Iqbal, featuring Quranic verses, sacred Names, and Islamic and devotional compositions rendered in intricate and aesthetically refined calligraphy. The artworks garnered significant interest from visitors, who admired the artist's craftsmanship and the spiritual and artistic beauty of the display.
Director Punjab Council of the Arts, Rawalpindi Muhammad Shakoor thanked the chief guest, distinguished guests, the artist, and visitors for their participation. He noted that such exhibitions during Eid Milad-un-Nabi (SAW) provide an opportunity to connect audiences, especially the younger generation, with Islamic art, culture, and the message of devotion and reverence for the Holy Prophet (SAW).
