The Federal Investigation Agency’s Anti-Human Trafficking Circle in Islamabad has arrested a candidate who submitted fake documents for a US student visa, according to a private tv channel report.

This action followed a complaint from the US Embassy.

Initial investigations reveal the suspect paid Rs200,000 through an educational consultancy in Lahore for visa processing. The inquiry found that fake bank statements, FBR tax records, and other documents were prepared and submitted to the US Embassy as part of the visa application. These documents were proven fraudulent during scrutiny, leading to the registration of a case against the suspect and the agent.

The FIA stated the suspect had been arrested and an investigation launched. They are also identifying other facilitators and individuals involved in the case.
