CBUAE and Central Bank of Egypt Issue Joint Statement
The Central Bank of the UAE (CBUAE) and the Central Bank of Egypt have affirmed their ongoing cooperation and coordination regarding the seamless operation of Banque Misr branches in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). This statement follows up on a Treasury Department proposal concerning regulatory measures for these branches.
In a joint declaration, the banks announced that Banque Misr branches in the UAE will take all necessary actions within the specified timeframe.
