CDA Issues Notice Over Alleged Construction Violations at Fazlur Rehman’s Residence
The notice cites alleged illegal construction in the house’s setbacks and objections to guard posts and a generator, warning that the building will be sealed if violations are not removed within 15 days.
ISLAMABAD (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 30th Oct, 2026) The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has issued a notice over alleged construction violations at the residence of JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman. The CDA Building Control Department issued the notice to the property owner.
According to media reports, the CDA pasted the notice at Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s residence. The notice identified alleged illegal construction in the house’s setbacks.
The CDA also objected to the installation of guard posts and a generator on CDA land, directing that the alleged construction violations be removed within 15 days. If the violations are not removed within the stipulated period, action will be taken to seal the building.
According to the notice, demolition action may also be taken if the alleged illegal construction is not removed.
The CDA further warned that proceedings could be initiated to cancel the allotment if the violations remain in place.
Meanwhile, JUI-F Sindh Secretary-General Maulana Rashid Mahmood Soomro, reacting to the development, said:
“Salute to the generator’s steadfastness!”
“From 2018 to 2026, how many prime ministers have come, how many governments have changed, and how many opposition leaders have arrived? But the generator at Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s house remained firmly in its place!”
