CDA, MCI Services Added to PAK App
ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th Sep, 2026)
The Capital Development Authority (CDA) and Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad (MCI) have integrated a number of civic services into the PAK App, as part of their push to digitize public service delivery.
These services include:
- Property tax and water bill payments
- Applications for advertising and open-space permissions
- Parking permits
- Generator licenses
- Municipal approvals
According to CDA, this initiative allows citizens and businesses to:
- Submit applications
- Upload required documents
- Track applications
- Make payments through digital channels
- All without needing to visit government offices for routine matters.
The authority emphasizes the shift towards digital channels for property tax and water bill collection, reducing reliance on counter-based transactions. The platform will electronically record applications, approvals, payments and other transactions, facilitating service monitoring and potentially addressing service-related issues through a dedicated complaint tracking system.
This digital transformation is part of a broader program to modernize civic administration in Islamabad, moving away from manual procedures, physical documentation and counter-based interactions. The CDA intends to gradually expand the digital system to encompass additional civic and municipal services.
The goal is to enhance access to government services and reduce the time and effort required by citizens for handling routine civic matters.
