CDA Teams Clear Rainwater From Roads After Heavy Rain

Teams of the Capital Development Authority’s (CDA) sanitation department worked tirelessly to clear rainwater from major roads, underpasses, and low-lying areas following a heavy downpour in Islamabad on Friday.
According to the CDA, they deployed teams at vulnerable points to remove accumulated water and debris, ensuring smooth drainage flow. The authority praised its field staff for their prompt response during the rain, coordinating with relevant officials to address any water-related issues.
They reported that several major roads were cleared within hours, easing morning traffic congestion. CDA teams continued their efforts in monitoring underpasses, low-lying areas, and other susceptible locations.
The CDA advised citizens to contact Rescue 1122 or its emergency helplines 16 or 1334 in case of any emergencies.
