CDA to Introduce Micro-planning for Better Waste Management

The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has decided to implement a comprehensive micro-planning and field-monitoring system for waste management and sanitation services. This initiative aims to:
- Clearly document the deployment, contact details, assigned areas, and responsibilities of sanitation workers.
- Enhance efficiency, accountability, and service delivery.
This announcement came after an interactive session held at the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) featuring CDA Director Sanitation Malik Atta and Deputy Director Sanitation Atta Bari Arshad.

ICCI Response:
Sardar Tahir Mehmood, ICCI President, expressed the business community’s willingness to work with the CDA to develop practical and sustainable solutions to sanitation, waste management, and civic problems. He highlighted the importance of direct communication between businesses and government institutions to address grassroots-level issues promptly.
He assured ICCI’s full support for initiatives aimed at improving sanitation, waste management, and municipal services in Islamabad. The business community, he stressed, wants to be active partners in finding solutions, not just raising complaints.
