Central Library to Be Upgraded as Modern Learning Hub

Deputy Commissioner Bahawalpur, Syed Hasan Raza, chaired a review meeting on the restoration, renovation, and improvement of the Central Library Bahawalpur, with a focus on making it more effective and aligned with modern requirements.
The meeting:
- Reviewed the library’s existing condition, facilities, and proposed improvements.
- Briefed participants on a practical and sustainable approach for upgrading the library according to contemporary needs.
- Directed that renovation work be completed on a priority basis.
Key directives:
- Create an attractive, organized, clean, and welcoming interior and exterior.
- Arrange books systematically by subject and ensure easy access.
- Enhance furniture and reading areas for greater comfort.
- Maintain high cleanliness standards throughout the library.
The DC emphasized:
"The library should provide a peaceful, clean, and pleasant environment conducive to reading and research… enabling students, researchers, and the general public to make better use of the facility."
He stressed the importance of modernizing the Central Library to enhance its contribution to learning and research. Directed relevant authorities to ensure effective implementation and regular monitoring of all activities for timely completion.
