Ceremony Held to Empower Children With Disabilities in Connection with Pakistan’s 80th Independence Day

A colorful ceremony was organized in connection with Pakistan’s 80th Independence Day to empower children with disabilities by the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities and the Social Welfare Department at the Auditorium Hall, Special education Complex on Tuesday. The event was held in collaboration with various NGOs including ICF, SF, NARI, WDSW, JSWA, and other relevant departments.

Additional Deputy Commissioner Sukkur-II, Majid Mako and Assistant Commissioner City Sukkur, Bushra Mansoor attended as chief guests.

Speaking on the occasion, Mako expressed delight at attending the ceremony, highlighting that children with disabilities are a valuable asset to the country. He emphasized the importance of providing them with a supportive environment to actively participate in cultural activities and celebrate Independence Day with pride.

During the ceremony, children with disabilities performed the national anthem and various tableaus, receiving high appreciation from attendees. An Independence Day cake was also cut on the occasion.

The event drew a large turnout, including Regional Director Special Education and Rehabilitation Abdul Quddous, District Scouts Officer Fahim Memon, officers and representatives of the Social Welfare Department, children with disabilities, and various relevant departments.
