Ceremony, Rally Held To Pay Tribute To Martyrs On Defence Day

BAHAWALPUR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 5th Sep, 2026) The district administration on Saturday organized a flag-hoisting ceremony and a rally at Government Sadiq Dane Model High school to pay rich tribute to the martyrs of the nation in connection with Defence Day.
Addressing the participants:
- Assistant Commissioner Iqra Mubeen stated that the Pakistan Armed Forces are the ultimate guardians of the nation's borders and their unmatched sacrifices have ensured a secure and prosperous future for the country. She emphasized that the supreme sacrifices of the nation's martyrs serve as a guiding light for future generations, adding that nations honoring their martyrs earn dignity and respect globally.*
Assistant Commissioner Hamza Ihtisham remarked that the valiant sacrifices of the Armed Forces would always be remembered with pride. He described September 6 as a landmark day in Pakistan's history, recalling the extraordinary courage and heroism displayed by the national heroes.
The event was attended by a large number of teachers, students, and government officials. The rally was jointly led by Assistant Commissioner Bahawalpur City Iqra Mubeen and Assistant Commissioner Bahawalpur Saddar Hamza Ihtisham.
