The 28th meeting of the Hardening of the State Conference on Thursday reviewed Balochistan’s overall situation, encompassing:

  • Law and order
  • Development progress
  • Public welfare initiatives
  • Coordination between federal and provincial institutions.

The conference was held under the joint chairmanship of Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti and Corps Commander Quetta, Lieutenant General Rahat Naseem Ahmed Khan.

Participants reiterated their dedication to:

  • Ensuring Balochistan’s bright future
  • Timely completion of development projects
  • Providing better facilities for citizens.

The meeting emphasised:

  • Strengthening collaboration between provincial and federal institutions and security forces

A significant decision was made to activate the Safe City Project in Quetta and other major areas in phases, viewed as a crucial step for:

Chief Minister Bugti, addressing the meeting, stated that these regular sessions, held every three weeks, yield positive results regarding peace and stability. He explained their purpose is to:

  • Adopt integrated strategies for solutions.

Bugti highlighted that regular meetings have improved institutional coordination and fostered continuity in peace and stability efforts.

He emphasised the interconnectedness of sustainable peace, development, and public prosperity, reaffirming the government’s commitment to both stability and timely project completion alongside basic facility provision. He urged all institutions to effectively fulfil their responsibilities and avoid unnecessary delays in public-interest projects.

The meeting was attended by representatives from federal and provincial departments and security forces. Participants discussed:

  • The province’s security situation
  • Ongoing measures
  • Future strategies.

Successful intelligence-based operations against terrorists linked to "Fitna al Hindustan" earlier this month were acknowledged, with praise for the professional performance and sacrifices of security forces. Emphasis was placed on further strengthening communication and cooperation between federal and provincial institutions and security forces in pursuit of Balochistan’s peace, development, and public prosperity.
