Faisalabad, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 6th Sep, 2026) Security at all churches across the district has been placed on high alert on the directives of City Police Officer (CPO) Tanveer Hussain. Over 1,100 police officers and personnel have been deployed to ensure the safety of worshippers and protect places of worship.
A police spokesman stated that senior officers were personally overseeing security arrangements in the field and conducting on-site inspections for effective implementation of security protocols. Comprehensive checks are being conducted using walk-through gates and metal detectors, alongside Safe City cameras for surveillance. Special patrols by Elite Force and Dolphin Force personnel continue around churches and adjacent areas to prevent any untoward incidents.
CPO Tanveer Hussain emphasized that all available resources were utilized to maintain peace and ensure the safety and security of citizens across the city. He directed officers and personnel to remain vigilant, closely monitor their respective areas, and implement foolproof security arrangements at churches.
The CPO reaffirmed Faisalabad police's commitment to safeguarding minorities' rights and ensuring a safe and peaceful environment for them. He highlighted the importance of effective coordination, constant surveillance, and a visible police presence around places of worship to maintain public confidence and ensure peaceful religious activities. He also encouraged citizens to remain vigilant, cooperate with security personnel, and immediately report any suspicious activity to police.
