Civil Defence Seals 15 Shops Over Illegal LPG Decanting

UrduPoint (30 September, 2026) - Civil Defence authorities in Sargodha sealed 15 shops at Chowk Bhagat on Lahore Road on Wednesday for carrying out illegal LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) decanting and refilling activities.

According to a spokesperson for Civil Defence Officer Talib Hussain, the operation was conducted under the directives of Deputy Commissioner Hussain Ahmad Raza Chaudhry as part of a routine inspection against illegal gas decanting across the district.

He stated that the sealed outlets were engaged in the unauthorised transfer and refilling of LPG cylinders, posing significant safety risks to the public.

Talib Hussain emphasised that enforcement operations would be intensified district-wide to safeguard public lives and property and avert potential industrial accidents. He added that strict legal action would be taken against all violators without exception.
