Civil Defence Team Inspects Fire Safety Arrangements at DIKhan Trauma Centre
Dera Ismail Khan, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 3rd Sep, 2026) A team of the Civil Defence Department inspected fire safety arrangements and emergency preparedness at the Accident and Emergency Trauma Centre of District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital, Dera Ismail Khan.
Inspection Details
The inspection team, headed by Civil Defence Inspector Alamgir Khan, visited the Trauma Centre on the request of its management and reviewed the existing fire safety facilities, emergency response arrangements, and preparedness to deal with any untoward incident.
During the visit, the team inspected different sections of the facility and assessed the available fire safety measures, while also reviewing arrangements aimed at ensuring the safety of patients, attendants, and healthcare staff.
Civil Defence officials provided technical guidance and recommendations to the Trauma Centre management regarding further improvement of fire prevention measures, emergency response procedures, and overall safety arrangements.
Trauma Centre's Response
Speaking on the occasion, Trauma Manager Muhammad Umair said the visit was important for identifying gaps in the existing fire safety arrangements and improving emergency preparedness at the facility. He appreciated the Civil Defence team's technical guidance and recommendations, stating that the management would take appropriate measures to further strengthen fire safety and ensure a safer environment.
He also mentioned that coordination with relevant departments would be maintained to ensure effective implementation of safety measures and enhance the Trauma Centre's capacity to respond to fire and other emergencies.
The Trauma Centre management appreciated the Civil Defence team's visit and valuable recommendations, reaffirming their commitment to improving fire safety and emergency preparedness at the facility.
