Civil Engineering Team Wins MUET Inter-Departmental Volleyball Tournament
UrduPoint (August 27, 2026) – The Civil Engineering team won the Inter-Departmental Boys Volleyball Tournament organized by the Directorate of Sports, Mehran University of Engineering and Technology (MUET), Jamshoro, defeating the Mining Engineering team 2-0 in the final.
According to a university spokesperson, the final was played between the Civil Engineering and Mining Engineering teams. The Civil Engineering players displayed an impressive performance and won both sets to clinch the trophy.
Prof Dr Tuaha Hussain Ali, Vice Chancellor of MUET, Prof Dr Nasrullah Pirzada, Registrar, Abdul Fattah Kandhir, Director Sports, Engineer Hafiz Arshad Memon, General Secretary of Mehran University Teachers Association, and others attended the event.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof Dr Tuaha Hussain Ali appreciated the students’ sporting abilities and enthusiasm, stating that such activities foster healthy competition, teamwork, and leadership qualities among students.
